History

  • Novotex Italiana is founded in 1970 and using a Japanese license begins studying the application of polyurethane resin for the coated fabrics sector.
  • In 1979, Novotex Italiana becomes part of Gruppo Coim S.p.A. It starts production of polyurethane resins within the “Larim” Division.
  • In 1984, Novotex’s full range of products is completed with the founding of Noreco Chimica S.p.A., which produces pigment pastes, varnishes and additives.
  • In 1999, Novotex Italiana obtains ISO 9002 and founds PM3, a company specializing in TPU film.
  • In 2003, Novotex Italiana establishes Novotex sul Americana, initially one factory in Brazil and followed a year later by new offices and a technical center.
  • In 2004, the company moves its headquarter to a more spacious location in a suburb of Milan to house equipment for its important and strategic R&D and applications laboratory.
  • In 2006, PM3 is incorporated as TPU Film Division.
  • In 2009, Novotex Italiana acquires the European Polyurethanes Ucecoat business from Cytec Surface Specialities.
  • In 2010, Novotex Italiana opens a system house near Philadelphia in the United States.
  • In 2013, Novotex Sul Americana begins producing lacquers and pigments for the South American market.
  • In 2016, Novotex and Durante&Vivan partnership enters textile word with “One-Stop Shop” concept offering a complete line of membranes and adhesives for lamination.
  • Today, Gruppo Novotex has an annual turnover of €70 million with more than 400 products in its portfolio and 150 employees, distributors and agents around the world.
