Novotex whose offices and Technical Centre are based outside Milan was established in 1970. Since then the company has evolved to be the leading supplier of polyurethanes and other materials to the coating industry.
- In 1979 Novotex Italiana joined Coim SpA and in that year the first plants for the production of polyurethane resins were established.
- In 1984 Noreco Chimica was established principally to supply pigment pastes and finishing lacquers for coating applications.
- Novotex Italiana was certified ISO 9002.
- The PM3 company was established in 1999 to supply TPU films.
- In 2001 Novotex Italiana set up Novotex Asia, a sales point based in Thailand.
- In 2003 Novotex Sul Americana was set up with a factory based near Sao Paolo in Brazil, and in 2004 new offices and a Technical Centre were established.
- Novotex Italiana moved its headquarters to a new site outside Milan in 2004. As well as offices this new facility includes a state of the art Technical Centre incorporating R&D and Applications Development divisions.
- In 2006 the PM3 company was incorporated into the Novotex Italiana structure as the TPU film division.
- In 2009 Novotex Italiana acquired the Ucecoat European business from Cytec Surface Specialities.
- In 2010 Novotex Italiana established a system house in US, near Philadelphia.
- In 2013 Novotex Sul Americana starts to produce lacquers and pigments for South America market.
- Nowadays:
Novotex Italiana’s turnover is 50 million Euro
